“We booked in for Friday/Saturday in the basic, shared bathroom room(#3). Exactly as we’re used to(apart from the whopping great tv!). Everything was hunky dory till the band struck up around 10:30. We must have been right above them as I thought we were in one of those coin-fed massage beds! The other half went downstairs to ask what time they were playing till……the news wasn’t good and to top it on they were coming back Saturday as well. Adam the manager had no hesitation in moving us to the “Presidential Suite”, far from the noise, for both nights…..bliss!”

“We stayed there Thursday night (5/01/2026) and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the shower was hot with good pressure and the bed was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both good and reasonably priced. Adam is a natural as "Mine Host". We booked through a 3rd party - it's very hard to avoid them - but will book direct next time. IMG have done a lot of improvements to this hotel and it shows. Good off street parking, too.”

“Stayed there for 1 night from April 6th to 7th. Very easy to book a room through their website. We could get a confirmation email though. I was afraid something bad would happen until I got there in person to claim my booking. The room itself was nice and clean, bathroom had a very good shower. A small table in the room would be nice as well. I decided to have a cheap dinner in my room but I had nowhere to put the food, had to improvise with the tiny side table. All in all, If you are looking for a nice place in a convenient location, Royal Hotel won't disappoint you!”

“We checked in on Friday 20/3 after a very long drive from Melbourne. Allocated room #1. Low and behold, we were awoken at 11pm and kept awake until 2am with the loudest ‘head banging’ music. It sounded like the music was just in the adjoining room. The next morning (Saturday) we spoke to the manager Adam who, without hesitation, relocated us immediately to a more suitable and comfortable room which was very very far away from the music which was expected again that evening. THANK YOU Adam. All your staff are very friendly and the food from the bistro is satisfying and reasonably priced.”

“After having issues with my first room I was moved into an awesome room that more than satisfied me. It was beautifully set up, very clean and very roomy. Bathroom in the room was perfect and Management were very helpful and understanding”
